Around late October, very early November the levels at the reservoir started going down. It has currently been completely drained. You can see the top of the bridge from the Mt. Hope parking lot. Below are some images.

Wow… I guess Loudoun County decided the easiest way to deal with annoyed anglers wanting access to the reservoir was to remove the incentive entirely. I’d imagine the bulk of the remaining fish in there will die over the winter and what once was a superb and thriving fishery will soon be a desolate mud pit. Such a shame. This was handled so very badly.
I agree. A friend told me they closed beaver dam, I didn’t believe him. Then I stumble across this website. Makes me want to cry.
